NDIS Overview
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a transformative social reform in Australia, providing support and services to people with disabilities, their families, and carers. As a landmark initiative, the NDIS aims to empower individuals by giving them greater choice and control over their support arrangements, facilitating access to necessary services and assistance tailored to their specific needs. By focusing on individualized plans and funding, the scheme seeks to promote independence, inclusion, and participation in all aspects of community life. With its person-centered approach, the NDIS aims to transform the disability support system into one that is fairer, more flexible, and better equipped to meet the diverse needs of people with disabilities across Australia.
